Empowered Hearts Collective Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine is a powerful psychedelic medicine that can lead to lasting psychological healing and growth.
How Do I Get Started?
EHC’s owner, Robin Arnett, LCSW, is trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), and integrates KAP with her ongoing clients when desired by clients, and after gauging appropriateness of fit. KAP is integrated with intensives work, and is often followed immediately with EMDR.
After discussing whether or not KAP is right for you, you will be referred to a prescriber for your initial intake with them. If they determine that KAP is a good fit from a medical perspective, you will receive a prescription with dosing instructions that are specific to you, as determined by your prescriber. Your prescriber will then mail your doses to you at your home. You will receive a “sublingual” prescription, which means that you will administer a tablet that dissolves instantly under your tongue.
What happens when we meet?
In the dosing session, we will prepare the space, set intentions, and make sure that you have everything you need. You will take your own blood pressure and pulse, and we will check in with your chaperone if we are meeting remotely. After that, you will take your dose, and embark on your journey. You will use an eye mask, lay down in a comfortable place, and put on noise canceling headphones to engage with a music playlist, which will be provided for you.
As you are in your experience, Robin will hold space with you throughout that time, call you out of your journey, and close the session with intention. You may or may not want to process what you experienced immediately afterwards, and either way is totally fine. We intentionally set a date for an integration session within a week to take advantage of your brain’s post-KAP neuroplasticity.
Remote KAP
Clients located in Colorado and Oregon can access remote KAP through Journey Clinical. Once you have received your prescription, we will work together to schedule a dosing session and an integration session to process your experience.
